Medicare is a program administered and regulated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
You are eligible for Medicare if you are:
• A citizen of permanent resident of the U.S.
• Age 65 or older
• Under age 65 with certain disabilities
To begin the process you must first obtain a Medicare Card.
If you sign-up for Social Security benefits you will automatically be issued a card and receive
Hospital Insurance (Part A) and Medical Insurance (Part B).
If you are not planning on getting Social Security benefits at age 65 you will need to apply for Medicare 3 months prior to turning age 65 online at:
Once your recieve your card with your Medicare ID number you can begin the process of applying for drug and supplemental plans.
